Stuart Brown is head of Park Lane Chambers, Leeds. He took
silk in 1991 and has continued to specialise in personal injury
and clinical negligence with an almost equal split between
claimant and defendant work. He was lead counsel in both the
coalminers’ respiratory disease and the hepatitis transfusion
litigation. Much of his present work involves catastrophic
injury caused on the road, in factories or in consequence
of obstetric negligence or other medical mishap.
