‘YouTube’ for doctors

The BMA has launched a special YouTube-style channel for GPs: BMATV.

The channel started four weeks ago and was initially rolled out to student and junior doctors.

Current content includes a nine minute-interview of BMA Chairman Dr Meldrum, and pension advice. According to a BMA spokesperson: “In the future, the channel will hold a variety of things that will generally fall into three categories: political information, conference materials and trade union-related information/guidance.”

BMA Chairman Dr Meldrum said:

“BMATV is another new way for the BMA to improve engagement with our members and I’m sure it will develop into a key resource for many doctors. I hope members will feed back their views so that we can continue to try to improve our two-way dialogue with them.”

The new channel is at: http://uk.youtube.com/user/BMAtv.
