Legal insurer National Business Award finalist

A legal expenses insurer has been nominated for the North West ‘Orange Best Use of Technology in Business Award’.

The nominee, MAPS Legal Assistance, provides legal protection for those involved in a non-fault motor accident.

Their systems include an online one that allows clients to report and track claims as well as to sell polices, and a customer management system, that provides behind-the-scenes control of day-to-day processes.

MAPS’ Managing Director James Tattersall said “Technology is core to our organisation and we have always invested in its development. As leaders, we customarily go one step further when creating our systems and it is fantastic to receive recognition from such a prestigious body.”

Last year, the award went to Conwy-based North Wales Police (NWP) for its consolidation of 40-50 databases and provision of Blackberrys to give the police on the street access to important information like criminal records and mugshots.

MAPS will be competing against three other finalists in their regional heat and will learn the outcome at the awards dinner on 17 July.
