Personal Injury Awards – a quicker way to nominate

In order to cope with the influx of votes before the 29 August deadline, there is now a quicker way to nominate for the new personal injury awards.

Nominations can now be made directly onto the personal injury awards website at http://www.legal-medical.co.uk/piawards/nominationform.html.

Individuals and companies working in the personal injury sector are invited to enter the Eclipse Proclaim Personal Injury Awards by nominating before 29 August 2008.

The personal injury awards are supported by the Bodily Injury Claims Management Association (BICMA). claims management companies, solicitors, barristers, insurers, rehabilitation providers.

Entrants will be judged by leading industry insiders and representatives of professional bodies providing expertise in insurance, law, rehabilitation and medicine.

Winners will be announced at a ceremony and dinner at the Café Royal, London, on 4 November which will be hosted by Joshua Rozenberg, Legal Editor of the Daily Telegraph and regular contributor to The London Standard and former BBC Legal Affairs Correspondent.

The awards scheme features 13 categories:

Personal Injury Lawyer of the Year (claimant);
Personal Injury Lawyer of the Year (defendant);
Personal Injury Team of the Year;
Claims Management Company of the Year;
Insurance Claims Handler of the Year (minor claims);
Insurance Claims Handler of the Year (serious claims);
ATE Insurance Broker of the Year; Medical Agency of the Year;
Rehab Provider of the Year;
Barrister of the Year;
Barristers’ Chambers of the Year;
Outstanding Case of the Year; and Innovation Award.
In addition, an award for Outstanding Achievement will be presented to either an individual or an organisation.
