Hundreds claim compensation for holiday sickness

A sickness bug at a holiday village in Turkey could lead to hundreds of claims.

Hundreds of people have reportedly suffered from sickness, diarrhoea and illnesses at the Holiday Village Turkey Sarigerme. And many guests are also complaining of ear infections.

Lawyer, Andrew Morton who is representing claimants says his firm is being contacted by an increasing number of guests returning from the Holiday Village Turkey Sarigerme. “It looks like a serious outbreak” he commented, adding, “the additional problem would seem to be the complete inadequacy of holiday tour reps to deal with the situation.”

Reports include guests being ushered from the hotel swimming pool because of excrement in the pool, and tour reps telling people to leave the hotel and clear out their belongings because their holiday was over, even though they were still desperately ill and still in hospital.

Morton said “this ongoing outbreak does appear very serious indeed with large numbers of British holidaymakers affected”. He added “we are receiving reports that the swimming pools are dangerously unclean and general hygiene in resort is poor, several guests report that people are being hospitalised”.
